Day 50

We went into town today. Maggie and Sasha are leaving from there to head to Salta, and the rest of us will stay behind...

We thought having another ice cream would be the best way to celebrate (of course!)...
I got to talk to Jon today, and he decided to come to Mama Roja! We’re going to hold the vision that we can stay here for April together, learning (and perhaps traveling)… but after doing some more research I discovered that it might be too expensive for me to entertain it. How disappointing!
We like to spend our spare time by the big vagina sculpture in the park. Wouldn't you?

Even though I didn’t have much to do, I stayed at Esso for the rest of the day, hoping Jon would come home from his backcountry boarding adventures so I could talk to him about it. Alas, he didn’t make it home in time, and I had to leave town to make the last bus. I walked home in the dark, singing songs to myself, and decided that even though we have to work tomorrow, I am going to head back into town to try and catch Jon before he wakes up and runs off for the day.

I feel like I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster, first excited at the prospect of him coming, then realizing that it might not be possible… I wonder what will come of all this.

  2. Dearest Linda,
I'm so glad you got to share in our journey through the blog! I can't even tell you how blessed I feel to have Maggie in my life now, and to have shared this experience with her. How funny that we traveled to the other side of the world to meet each other when we live only an hour apart at home! I am sure we'll meet soon enough, and I look forward to it.
Much love to you and Mags!
